Radical Honesty
Check out this Esquire article about Radical Honesty. It may change your life. (But honestly, I don't really care.) If nothing else, you may find this article funny.

Does this sound fun or what?

Coming home

Last week Rachelle and Doug of the Paul Road Gang chauffeured me down island and toured me around their version of Vancouver. It is amazing how we live somewhere for years and just when we think we have seen it all someone introduces you to new places and experiences. Of course they swore me to secrecy so you will have to take them to Vancouver with you next time if you want to be in the know!
The reason I went to the big city last week among other things like work and friends was mainly to see Dr Wade, the rheumatologist. The good news is I can eliminate my suffering for the small fee of 18K annually for a drug called Remicade If you have personally or know anyone that has taken Remicade I would love to speak with them as I am still undecided if I want to take something this powerful regardless of the cost.
The one thing Vancouver always does, is remind me how lucky I am to live in the country. Some people live in the city and vacation in the country, we vacation in the city and live in the country. I was glad to get home, especially because Judith is here, sorry Rob!
Speaking of Rob! Rob, said he was less than impressed that this blog was lacking content while I was away and requested that I pick up the pace regardless of my schedule. Below you will see some entries at his expense. Thanks Rob for the motivation. Your a real pal!
Happy to be home!
Citizens unite, A political future!
"Good people of the rock, we are gathered here today to discuss the future.""Doug, how many times do I have to remind you to get everyone more blender drinks before we get started."
Al, look alive, we may have some bleeding hearts in the room, and we will need pictures and names for the database of trouble makers, and for pete's sake make sure those mountain bikers don't get in like last time, I can't understand a word they say with all that lingo and cussing."
"The Future."
We interrupt this for a message from your public broadcaster: "The Chip Bandit was spotted in Dead Rear (AKA Red Deer) but after an extensive manhunt they have lost the trail of 'Alex', details at 11:00 pm."
And back to our broadcast of the "on the thrown" speech, a political future!
"Where was I? Oh right ... The Future, thanks Al."
"Damn, Al watch the door, I can see those mountain bikers coming our way."
"Make sure they have paid their taxes at least, if we're going to let them in."
"Doug, how are those blender drinks coming, do we have enough to lube the good people?"
"Amanda is never around when I need her, OK, where was I? Oh right ... The Future, thanks Doug."
"The Future"
What, who me?
A typically evening at Long Nights Bistro circa 2008 with the First Lady and "The Boss"
"OK, Rob! You can either eat your vegetables or go to your room, it is your choice?"
"No, I want my plum pudding, and I am not budging till I get my fair share."
"OK, Peanut, you can whine till the ducks come home, but until you eat your vegetables you will get no pudding"
"But Peter didn't have to eat his vegetables"
"Yes, well Robbie, Peter is a guest and guests don't have the same rules as you"
"Fine, I want to be a guest from now on"
"O, Wob, just eat your veggies, you will grow up to big and strong like Al and Doug, you want to big and strong like the firefighters don't you?"
"I want my pudding, I don't care if I am strong, give me my pudding"
"O, Wobby am I going to have to send Peter home, and you to your room?"
"Thump, pow, smash, swoosh"
"Whoops"
"Robert junior you go to your room right now"
"Fine, I have marzipan in my room"
"I am so sorry you will have to excuse Rob, he didn't get the memo about Santa only visiting good little boys"
The End

VORIZO AIR TAKES OFF
As you can see this coach class passenger looks very comfortable, and enjoying the extra leg room, scenic views, and unrestricted carry-on luggage rule.
The first passenger had this to say on landing:"I was so happy to finally find a flight to the city that included so much in flight passenger space, VORIZO AIR has thought of everything, including an endless shower to keep you fresh upon arrival."
The president of VORIZO AIR tells us the "land anywhere" signature service for first class passengers, and "drop a load on a friend" campaign coming in 2009 are really what sets them apart from the pack.
News Flash: Bandit still on the loose

Wanted
Reward Offered
Warning: Do not approach without more chips!
'Alex' is not too tall, not too short, not too old and not too young. We know is he is ex-SCF (Special Chip Forces) and knows all the tricks to get you to give up your chips, including the oldest trick in the book best known as the "empty bag" fake out, as well as the "let me get that for you" hustle.
We assume by his craftiness he must be under the guidance of the famous "Chip Bandit."
The Chip Bandit was made famous in the great chip heist of 1967, where he removed all the chips from a small west coast community without a trace and is assumed to be hiding out on a remote island still eating chips. The Chip Bandit has never been photographed but is known to have a Chip Ring that spans the globe. We are hoping to discover the true identity of the Chip Bandit after our capture of 'Alex', with his inevitable confession as we deny him chips until he gives up the secret location of the Chip Bandit.

Blender Pilgrimage

NEWS FLASH! The house across the street (Veronica and Bills) is for sale at 465K, the sign went up this afternoon. Its sad to think Renaud won't be coming home......
Are you wondering what has been happening at world headquarters? I admit is has been awhile since my last confession.
Judith called a play date this morning and unchained me from my work station after burning the midnight oil for the past week on her new price list.
The price list is moving along, we are over fifty percent done phase one, of a four phase mega project. The end result will be the addition of well over two hundred new products to our offering. If nothing else, 2008 will certainly be a pivotal year for our business.
Our play date consisted of going to the dump, and I came home with a perfect and complete (with flyers) copy of a July 19, 1971 Province Newspaper. I assume it was a the bottom of a box in someones attic all this time, until it found its way to the depot. It is pristine, so if you know anyone born in British Columbia with the birthday July 19, 1971 let me know and I can mail this newspaper to them.

Why the photo you ask? February is "blender pilgrimage to the mountains" month. Stay tuned to this blog for adventure, mystery, intrigue coming soon. The families are gathering at North Star , complements of the Don, of the Los Altos Kinell's! We will also stop in to say hello to Steve and spend a couple nights in San Francisco to look at some "business" opportunities. PS, If you have any recommendations of must do's in the bay area let us know.

On the Epi front things are moving along fast and the learning curve is straight up. Our friend Jules, has a friend Tom, Tom has a brother, and to make a long story short, Tom's brother might help us with the Epi project as he is in the "business". Thanks Jules.
I have spoken to a load of people over the last week, including two international inquiries. As well Mike from GSK has also been a big help putting us in touch with various potential connections in the UK and USA.
It is a pleasure to consider how a an idea, a little widget, and a lot of help will make a real difference for people with life-threatening allergies.
Also, I've paid off the Paul Road Gang to come over before 10 am to unchain me before Judith gets to work this Wednesday, If all goes to plan I will be in Vancouver by high noon, for a couple of days! If anyone is looking for me call (604) 760.3611 or look in the window of KoKo's Sushi!
Well that is it, I have to go make dinner for the President before getting back in the chains and work on the price list some more.
Keep your tips up..............
PS, Today is Barbs birthday if you want to send her a greeting you can at bsvec@shaw.ca

News Flash: Rufus escapes "Paul Road Gang"
So when I saw my old pal Rufus had returned for a visit it made my day, we put on a pot of tea, brought out the old pictures of us picking apples, and laughed about the old times Rufus and I spent together.
And then I asked Rufus why he left so abruptly and It turns out that he was actually kidnapped by the "Paul Road Gang" against his will. I showed him the ransom photo's that the gang had published on the web and he said that he wondered why that guy dropped his apple mid bite right in front of Rufus, and as Rufus went to pass it back to him, a flash of light happened and the guy walked off with his apple. Rufus just thought nothing of it, until I showed him the photo's.
Anyway it turns out that a nice woman with short blond hair driving a white Oldsmobile set Rufus free in the middle of the night after the gang was all passed out! Rufus says he isn't going to press charges as they seemed kinda nice, and really bad at crime. He may have his friends go and leave some surprises on there lawn when they are least expecting it, or have a lawn to do there business on. So in the end Rufus is safe, and we can get back to the chains, and Judith's pricelist.
Oh, is that the Ded Reer Snilkles skiing?
Ok, so you went skiing and stayed at some posh house paid for by the Alberta Government in trade for Luap's best overtime years. The real question is where is Judith? What is a holiday without the queen of leisure, the mother of fun, the ambassador of the good life, the inventor of the 20 hour work week? Well I will tell you. She was working! No really.
I don't know what got into her over the holidays, but last week I woke up to Judith doing things I have never seen to an excel spreadsheet, and I was fully dressed in a suit, chained to my desk. And that is where I stayed for a week, twelve plus hours a day helping her make something she called a price list. It seems that if we publish a price list (after only twelve years in business) we will make something she called money! Who would have thought!
That Judith sure is smart. Anyway there I was dreaming of skiing while answering Judith's technical questions about band-aid and bed pans. I am very important she told me! I am still wondering if there is some correlation between being chained to a desk and being important?
So while the rest of my family is skiing I learned a valuable lesson about this thing called money! Wow what a week, what a woman!
On a lighter note, she did release me for the weekend, so of course I had two BBQ Parties at our house with my people, and we went out for two parties on Sunday just to make sure I didn't forget my place in society. Anyway I am hoping for more chaining this week, as it all seems very novel this work and money thing!
