Cadet Camp Week

What do you get when you put twenty-one kids in red jumpers and sound the alarm?

Chaos!

No, silly you get Cadet Camp, days of endless fun with our local firefighters, learning basic First Aid, Fire Fighting (real fires), High Angle Rescue, Auto Extrication, Fire Behaviour, Search and Recovery, etc.

So what are you doing this spring break?

Volunteer Found

Spring Break this year is March 14 till the 30th for island kids with Easter falling on the 21st till the 24th weekend. And that means it's time to start planning this years Fire Service Cadet Camp for the 10 to 12 year olds!

Rachelle has accepted the key leadership position of managing food for the two days. Thanks Rachelle.

The camp will take place
March 19 and 20th and include Extinguishers (Class A and B Fires), Auto-Ex, Fire Fighting, High Angle Rescue, Fire Science, and Medical Response Demo's, Hoses and Hose Streams, and attending Fire Practice on Thursday night with the regular members.

Does this sound fun or what?

Let me know if you are interested in volunteering?
